NCUA Increases Share Insurance Limit

With the passage of the 2008 Emergency Economic Stabilization Act, your funds are now safer than ever. Under the act, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) will increase share insurance protection to at least $250,000 on all types of accounts, backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. NCUA has always insured shares to at least $100,000, with additional coverage of up to $250,000 for certain retirement accounts.
